The weekly Saturday market is held at the Tuscaloosa River Market on the banks of the Black Warrior River. The River Market is located at 1900 Jack Warner Parkway.

  • Main Parking: The main parking lot entrances are located at the intersections of Jack Warner Parkway at 21st Avenue and at Queen City Avenue. We recommend entering at 21st Avenue.
  • Handicap Parking: The Queen City Avenue entrance is the closest to our handicap parking section. Only patrons with proper handicap parking decals will be allowed to park in the lot closest to the building.
  • Additional Parking: If the market is very busy, there are four nearby public parking lots. Two are located across Jack Warner Parkway at the Tuscaloosa Public Library and at the Mildred Warner Westervelt Transportation Museum. The others are located to the east of the River Market in the Visitor Center lot and the lot just east past the River Walk pedestrian bridge.
Can’t make it to the Saturday Market this week? From May through August, we have daily Pop-Up Markets in a different location each weekday from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m.!

  • Saturday markets are open year-round, unless otherwise posted, from 7 a.m. until noon.
  • Additional markets: From May through August, check out our Pop-Up Markets on weekdays from 3 – 6 p.m.

We’ve made a few adjustments to keep our shoppers, vendors, and staff safe. Thank you for being patient and following these new market rules.

  • Face coverings are required for entry to markets
  • If you are feeling unwell, please stay home
  • Please limit hand-to-hand contact with vendors by pointing to the product you would like to purchase and allowing the vendor to bag your product and set it down on the table
  • When you’re ready to pay, please place your payment on the table for vendor to pick up
  • Avoid congregating between booths or in walkways
  • Be conscientious of maintaining six feet of space between yourself and other shoppers, as well as vendors and staff at the market

If you prefer to limit your in-person shopping, our Saturday Market offers curbside pick-up! Customers are asked to communicate directly with vendors in advance of the Saturday Market to make purchases for pick-up. Vendors with curbside pick-up options are:

  • Belle Meadow Farm offers seasonal veggie boxes. You will receive an invoice for your order via email. The deadline to order veggie boxes from Belle Meadow Farm is 5 p.m. on Thursday. Face coverings are required for entry to markets
  • Ben’s Bread offers a selection of handmade sourdough breads and bagels, freshly baked every Saturday morning.
  • Breaking Bread offers freshly-baked bagels and breads.
  • Emily’s Heirloom Poundcakes sells pound cakes inspired by a simpler time.
  • Harbin Farm has canned goods including pickles and jellies available to purchase. Orders must be received by noon on Friday.
  • Lar-Ren’s Farm has frozen chicken, duck, and turkey as well as chicken eggs and duck eggs. Order by Thursday at 5 p.m.
  • Norris Farm offers veggies, pound cakes, jellies and more. Please call 205-799-4789 to order. Orders must be received by 5 p.m. on Thursday.
  • Nothin Fancy Home Cookin’ offers breads, donuts, cakes, cinnamon rolls and more. See full selection here.
  • Snow’s Bend Farm sells local veggies. There is a $20 minimum and orders must be received by 11:59 p.m. on Thursday.

To pick up your order, please pull into the parking lot closest to the River Market. A friendly staff member will assist you and bring your order to your car!

Payment type accepted varies by vendor. All vendors accept cash and most accept credit cards. Some accept checks, and some use Apple Pay/Venmo.

At the City of Tuscaloosa, we believe that everyone deserves access to fresh, healthy, local foods. That’s why our farmers markets are proud to accept payments from a variety of food assistance programs!
